Thinking
in terms of black or white, right or wrong, yes or no, is always
self-defeating. Look for the middle ground that can be negotiated.

the fuss you kick up is well justified, then keep it up, because
it's the squeaky wheel that gets oiled.

Try
always to arrange a deal where both sides feel reasonably good about
the bargain struck. It's almost never a situation of Yes or No,
win or lose. Most often there is an agreeable option somewhere in
the middle that needs to be created by you.

When
considering a confrontation, take the trouble to see the battle
from both sides.
